Customer team Andretti Formula E celebrated a significant achievement at the Monaco E-Prix, with Felipe Drugovich securing his first-ever Formula E podium by finishing second. This marks the second podium for a Porsche customer team in the prestigious principality, highlighting the strong performance of Porsche's electric racing technology.

Key Takeaways

  • Felipe Drugovich achieved his first Formula E podium, finishing second.

  • Porsche factory driver Nico Müller secured valuable points with a seventh-place finish.

  • Porsche celebrated its 100th Formula E race.

  • The "Racing for Charity" initiative has raised over 261,000 Euros.

A Strong Showing in Monaco

Felipe Drugovich's second-place finish was the highlight for Andretti Formula E, with teammate Jake Dennis also contributing to the team's points tally by finishing sixth. Porsche factory driver Nico Müller managed to secure seventh place in Sunday's race, adding to the manufacturer's points in the standings. His teammate, Pascal Wehrlein, finished just outside the points in twelfth.

Müller's race saw him make an impressive early charge, utilizing an Attack Mode to move to the front of the field. However, contact with another competitor in the Rascasse hairpin cost him positions, ultimately settling for seventh. Wehrlein, who started fourteenth, fought his way into the points but couldn't maintain his position.

Cupra Kiro's Challenges and Porsche's Milestone

For Cupra Kiro, Dan Ticktum started from pole position for the second consecutive day. Unfortunately, damage sustained from contact and a subsequent penalty dropped him to fourteenth, outside the points. His teammate, Pepe Martí, retired from the race following a collision.

Sunday's race also marked a significant milestone for the Porsche factory team, as it was their 100th race in Formula E. Since their debut in the 2019/2020 season, Porsche has amassed 15 wins, 38 podiums, and 12 pole positions, including last season's Teams' World Championship title.

"Racing for Charity" Initiative

Porsche's "Racing for Charity" program continues to make a social impact. For every race lap completed by their factory-run Porsche 99X Electric cars, the manufacturer donates 400 Euros to charitable organizations supporting seriously ill children. Following the Monaco E-Prix, the total donation amount has reached 261,200 Euros.

Championship Standings

After ten races, Pascal Wehrlein sits fourth in the Drivers' Championship with 101 points, followed by Nico Müller in fifth with 81 points. Jake Dennis is seventh with 74 points. In the Manufacturers' standings, Porsche leads with 281 points, ahead of Jaguar. Andretti Formula E is fifth in the Teams' classification.

The next Formula E race is scheduled for June 20th in Sanya, China.
