Porsche has showcased the extraordinary interior of its Panamera Turbo ‘Sonderwunsch’ at the Icons of Porsche festival in Dubai, marking the culmination of a unique customer vision. This bespoke creation exemplifies Porsche's commitment to unparalleled individualization, transforming a sports car dream into a tangible reality with meticulous craftsmanship and personalized luxury.
Key Takeaways
The Panamera Turbo ‘Sonderwunsch’ interior features a striking color gradient and contrasting elements that mirror its exterior design.
Luxurious custom features, including a humidor and Champagne cooler, demonstrate the extent of personalization possible.
The interior showcases exceptional attention to detail, high-quality materials, and unique design elements inspired by Porsche's heritage and locations.
A Symphony of Color and Craftsmanship
The interior of the Panamera Turbo ‘Sonderwunsch’ is a testament to Porsche's dedication to precision and individualization. Alexander Fabig, Vice President Individualisation and Classic, stated, "The interior of the Panamera Turbo 'Sonderwunsch' embodies our passion for making every customer's personal dream a reality with the utmost precision and attention to detail." The design seamlessly integrates a subtle color gradient from black to a metallic Sunset Red, echoing the exterior's two-tone Leblon Violet Metallic and black paintwork. This gradient is visible on the seat centers, parcel shelf, and vehicle document folder.
Bridging Exterior and Interior with Avium Metallic
A specially developed contrast color, Avium Metallic, acts as a sophisticated link between the car's exterior and interior. Externally, it graces the pinstripes, wheel faces, and window frames. Internally, Avium Metallic is applied to numerous elements, including the ‘Sonderwunsch’ lettering on the center console trim, switches, the Sport Chrono display surround and hands, the Drive Mode switch ring, trim strips, door handles, speaker grilles, and seat piping.
The dashboard and door panels are finished in black leather with double-stitched seams in Barrique Red. Black-stained chestnut wood elements adorn the door panels, adding a touch of natural elegance. A unique highlight features badges on the front seats, displaying the geographical coordinates of Zuffenhausen (driver's side) and Leipzig (passenger side), paying homage to the Panamera's development and production locations. The seat belts are finished in a striking Barrique Red.
Bespoke Luxury Features
Porsche's ‘Sonderwunsch’ program extends to highly personalized luxury amenities. The interior includes a custom cigar humidor, crafted with cedarwood inserts and a hygrometer to maintain optimal humidity. Integrated into the center console's storage compartment, it features a glass cover and removable accessories like a cigar cutter and lighter.
Another remarkable feature is an illuminated Champagne cooler, ingeniously integrated into the rear seat. It accommodates a small bottle and two glasses, with storage in the armrest. These components are finished in Avium, with the bottle holder upholstered in black leather embossed with ‘Sonderwunsch’ lettering. The armrest is adorned with a Turbonite-finished Porsche crest.
Exquisite Detailing and Finishing Touches
The luxury extends to the luggage compartment, which is fully lined in leather. Black anodized metal inserts, framed in Avium, provide protection against scratches. The loading sill protection is made from black-lacquered metal, enhanced with real gold flakes for an opulent finish.
Further enhancing the bespoke experience are door sill trims in brushed-black aluminum with white illuminated ‘Sonderwunsch’ lettering. The customization is completed with a black leather key case featuring Avium stitching and an embossed Porsche crest, alongside a black leather charging cable bag with Barrique Red stitching.
