Porsche has unveiled a unique 911 GT3 with Touring Package, a bespoke creation celebrating 75 years of partnership with Porsche Luxembourg. This special edition, dubbed the "Porsche Lëtzebuerg Legacy" project, showcases an unprecedented level of customization, blending automotive excellence with Luxembourgish cultural identity through the artistry of Jacques Schneider.
A Masterpiece of Customization
This one-of-a-kind 911 GT3 with Touring Package pushes the boundaries of Porsche's Sonderwunsch (special wishes) program, featuring numerous first-time implementations:
Elaborate Paintwork: Over 700 hours were dedicated to the Ice Grey Metallic paint, which features a hand-applied Fire Red graphic of the Luxembourg lion. This motif, designed by artist Jacques Schneider, adorns various exterior panels, including the bonnet, doors, and roof. The color combination subtly references the Luxembourg flag.
Vive" Lettering: The patriotic "Vive" (Long live) expression is laser-etched onto the 20- and 21-inch GT3 alloy wheels and prominently displayed in oversized letters on the underbody.
Unique Badges: Bespoke matt black badges on the B-pillars feature the project name and logo, alongside the anniversary number '75' in the front bumper grille.
Interior Innovations
The interior of the "Porsche Lëtzebuerg Legacy" is equally impressive, showcasing unparalleled attention to detail:
Embroidered Headliner: The Racetex headliner is intricately embroidered with the outline of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg and the opening lines of its national anthem, rendered in Jacques Schneider's own handwriting. This marks a significant first for the Sonderwunsch program.
Lion Graphic Printing: The lion graphic is discreetly printed in Graphite Grey on the seat center panels, door center panels, and the storage compartment lid, achieved through a multi-stage roller printing process.
Custom Seat Backs: For the first time, the inserts of the Adaptive Sports Seats Plus are crafted from brushed aluminum in black, refined with white "Vive" lettering.
Illuminated Door Sills: The door sill guards, made of brushed black aluminum, feature illuminated "Porsche Lëtzebuerg" lettering in Schneider's handwriting.
Red Accelerator Pedal: The accelerator pedal is finished in Fire Red, matching the exterior accents.
The Visionaries Behind the Project
This extraordinary vehicle is a testament to the collaborative spirit between Porsche Luxembourg and self-taught Luxembourg artist Jacques Schneider. Schneider's artistic vision, deeply rooted in his homeland, is evident in every detail, from the lion graphics to the embroidered national anthem. Tom Weber, Brand Manager of Porsche Luxembourg, emphasized that the car embodies the enduring partnership between Porsche and the Losch Group, which has served as the official Porsche importer in Luxembourg since 1950.
The Sonderwunsch Program
This project exemplifies Porsche's reinterpretation of its legendary Sonderwunsch program, which allows customers to co-create highly individualized, one-off vehicles. The program offers extensive customization options, from unique exterior colors through "Paint to Sample Plus" to complete interior and exterior redesigns, all professionally realized by Porsche's development and design teams.
