Mathys Jaubert delivered a dominant performance at the Hungaroring to claim his maiden Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup victory in Hungary. The French rookie, starting from pole position, held off strong challenges to secure a memorable win for himself and the Martinet by Alméras team. The race was marked by early incidents and safety car periods, which ultimately failed to disrupt Jaubert's commanding drive.
A Thrilling Hungarian Grand Prix
The sixth round of the Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup at the Hungaroring circuit proved to be a dramatic affair. Limited overtaking opportunities on the challenging 4.3-kilometer track led to an intense battle among the drivers. The race was punctuated by several incidents on the opening lap, resulting in four cars being eliminated and a lengthy safety car deployment.
Jaubert's Commanding Debut Victory
Pole-sitter Mathys Jaubert executed a flawless drive to secure his first-ever Supercup win. The 20-year-old Frenchman maintained his lead from start to finish, fending off persistent pressure from Flynt Schuring. This victory also marks a significant milestone for the Martinet by Alméras team, their first Supercup triumph since 2021.

Flynt Schuring secured a strong second place, reinforcing his lead in the rookie standings and expressing satisfaction with his podium finish despite being unable to challenge Jaubert for the win.
Ariel Levi completed the podium in third, capping off another solid performance and focusing on a clean race to secure valuable points.
Title Fight Intensifies
The championship battle is heating up as the top contenders closed the points gap. Alessandro Ghiretti and Robert de Haan finished fifth and sixth respectively, with only four points now separating them in the overall standings. Flynt Schuring's consistent performance has brought him within six points of the championship lead, setting the stage for a thrilling conclusion to the season.
Alessandro Ghiretti acknowledged the difficulty of the race and expressed slight dissatisfaction with his result, despite setting the fastest lap.
Robert de Haan voiced frustration over some of the driving standards but was pleased with his points haul, narrowing the gap to Ghiretti.
Porsche Junior Theo Oeverhaus faced further setbacks after being involved in an incident, finishing 14th and acknowledging the need for improvement in upcoming races.
Looking Ahead
Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup Project Manager Oliver Schwab praised the exciting racing at the Hungaroring and expressed anticipation for the remaining rounds. The next event will be the seventh round of the season, held on August 31st at the Zandvoort circuit during the Dutch Grand Prix.
